Barefoot Goddess Blog, day 32, 8/13/10

Best Friday, the 13th, ever! Jeni spent hours with me at the Redmond Public Library, thee goldmine for nonprofit resource access! Wow! We can access donor lists for free because the library pays for the subscriptions. That is so wonderful!
We sent in and paid for the 501 (c) 3 State application today! Yay!! The first concrete step! [...]

Barefoot Goddess Blog, day 31, 8/12/10

I’m just too busy to even write a blog for today!  Suffice it to say that these days every day is fabulous and enjoyed in bare feet. Is it that bare feet are magical and no one knew?
Went to see local fixture, Brad, at Easy Street for their latest CD release and then had Dick’s [...]

Barefoot and Bold One Month Anniversary, day 30, 8/11/10

How Wonderful! These have been some of the best 30 days! So much has happened, as those of you who read the blog regularly know.
I rewrote the first chapter of You’re an Adventurer on the Cutting-Edge of Yourself with the idea in mind of adding little stories. It’s so much fun!
I also read about tantra. There [...]

Barefoot and Bold, day 29, 8/10/10

Today was a fantastic day! I cried and laughed and had a two hour conversation with my brother! This is exceptional in that we keep finding common ground. I saw so clearly that our experience together moves back and forth, along a continuum. Sometimes we’re far apart, experiencing complete disagreement, others, we come together completely, [...]

Barefoot and Bold, day 28, 8/9/10

So much for which to be grateful!

Barefoot and Bold, day 27, 8/8/10

Barefoot and Bold 8/8/10 Sat
Beautiful Bhakti Circle this morning with Elise, her partner John and wonderful Christie. John said something we all loved. Maybe the process of life is a circle, going in a circle. You always end up where you started AND always in a different place. It was an incredibly joyful morning. Nothing [...]

Barefoot and Bold, day 26, 8/7/10

Easy, uneventful day today. Took a few hrs off to rest. Met a sweet man at the Guided Meditation this morning and did a Reiki session with a fellow Reiki student (we’re in a year long class together). Crawled in bed early with the love of my life and had the great pleasure of watching [...]

Barefoot and Bold, day 25, 8/6/10

Beautiful MaMuse
It’s been 25 days now that I haven’t worn shoes. When I got ready to go out to see MaMuse in concert at Empty Sea Studio in Phinney, I was planning which shoes to wear with my clothes. I forgot; I was glad when I remembered because none of my shoes were inspiring me [...]

Barefoot and Bold, day 22, 8/3/10

Tuesday is already a blank. I know I worked a lot because I do every day. The sun shone and I was happy many times during the day. I loved people many times and was thrilled that this love is so much more often expressed than it used to be. I know I fell asleep with gratitude and woke [...]

Barefoot and Bold, day 24, 8/5/10

Thu
Today I saw an email in the new GLSC mailbox. Someone was complaining that we don’t actually live in Green Lake but in Wallingford, “How can you move in and not know where you live?,” it said. At first, I wanted to justify myself, talk about the plat description, what we’ve been told by realtors [...]

Barefoot and Bold, day 23, 8/4/10

Wed
8:30 I’m on Sarah Playtis’ table for PT. I dreamed the whole time. I saw her sitting in a sunny window seat, holding a laughing baby boy. I didn’t tell her. I don’t want her to be influenced.
I went to see Sherry Hoffman in Edmonds. She has two beautiful cats and a view of the [...]

Barefoot and Bold, day 21, 8/2/10

Monday
I’m looking back on the wonderful Grand Opening and I can see that it is possible for me to reach out to people and to reach them. I keep thinking about the new faces I saw and how happy that made me. I want to connect with everybody.
I found my local connection with India (affiliated [...]

Barefoot and Bold, day 20, 8/1/10

Bold, indeed. Today was the grand opening of Green Lake Spiritual Center. I just thought, this is not a poetic name. And then I thought, being a fool for God, as I declared myself today, is so poetic, it asks for prose around it. SO, I’m glad that’s the name.
We had five waves of visitors. [...]

Barefoot and Bold, day 19, 7/31/10

Torpedos Be Damned
It was an amazing day. Two people came to the guided meditation and I think about winning hearts, one at a time. I had a nice and long visit with one of them who is a former student of mine. I told him about the center and that I’m starting a new religion [...]

Barefoot and Bold, day 18, 7/30/10

The carpet at Oak Tree Cinema is very cushy. It kind of folds to the side as you walk on it, rather than depress…I’m getting to know the surface of the city. I don’t know if that is interesting to read about, but it’s interesting to experience. It’s so obviously a lens that it makes me aware of “lens-ness” in general. It’s kind of sneakily revelatory. In the movie theater I had my feet up and even though I always take my shoes off in the theater and prop them up on the next seat if the row is empty, I caught myself unaware and feeling suddenly vulnerable

Random thoughts
What a great day. Still basking in the glow of having had volunteer help from Tara and Jeni. Thank you both! GLSC will soon have a website up. Urls: greenlakespiritualcenter.org and gl-sc.org. I’m starting to hear from pple who want to teach at GLSC. What an excitement! I’m so excited about all the people [...]

Barefoot and Bold, day 16, 7/28/10

The only thing to note is that the ultimate reality is that you are the dreamer of your own dream. When you believe that your dream is reality, that’s the dream you’re dreaming. Ask yourself, why does the concept of reality exist? It does because we sense the dream quality of our world and seek to establish that there is something that is real. Beyond the dream there is only the immutable beautiful luminous darkness.

Barefoot and Boldg, day 15, 7/27/10

Yesterday, the pavement was scorching hot! Ow, ow, ow! And I wondered, what’s worse, hot or cold? Well, I’ll find out soon enough.

Barefoot and Bold, day 13, 7/25/10

Today the pavement was hot as heck. Don’t really know what heck is, but it beats the heck outta hell, so heck it is. I’m sooo tired, all I wanna do is be silly, silly, silly. Loved this morning’s Bhakti Talk. And can’t wait till next Sunday’s.

I had my first decaf coffee in about eight [...]
